BIRD WATCHING EVENTS

WEEKEND BIRD WATCHING WALKS WITH THE COUNTRYSIDE EDUCATION TRUST (CET): The CET is based at Beaulieu in Hampshire and Graham leads their bird watching walks. Most of these take place on private areas of the Beaulieu Estate but some take place on local coastal reserves or in the New Forest. Each walk lasts 2-3 hours and is carefully planned to show the participants a good range of seasonal bird life. Examples include a dawn chorus walk, a bird ringing event and an evening nightjar walk. As usual, the groups that Graham takes out are small and beginners are welcome.

On recent walks we have seen special species such as marsh harrier, goshawk, merlin, peregrine, avocet, spotted redshank, snipe and kingfisher, as well as interesting warblers, finches and buntings. On several of the Dawn Chorus walks we have been serenaded by nightingales.

For details of upcoming walks, please see www.cet.org.uk or telephone 01590 612401

OTHER WALKS: Graham will be running a selection of walks throughout the year, on weekdays and on weekends. These will include a Bird of Prey Day, a Bird and Wild Flower walk, and a Bird and Butterfly walk.

PERSONALISED WALKS: Graham can arrange a morning or a day of guided bird watching for a private group or for an individual.

BIRD WATCHING HOLIDAYS:

The aim is to offer more trips as soon as the current uncertainty caused by C-19 is under control. Sadly that is not likely to be until 2022.

TALKS AND SLIDE SHOWS: Graham gives amusing and informative talks on a variety of bird related subjects, and these are accompanied by his own superb photographs.
